Norwegian foreign minister arrives in Islamabad on official visit
world
Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide has arrived in Islamabad for the first official visit by Norway to Pakistan in a decade. Per Dawn, he's been received by Pakistan's Additional Foreign Secretary for Europe, Ambassador Ayesha Ali. Over the next two days, Eide will hold delegation-level talks with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, focusing on bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, climate change, renewable energy, education, and people-to-people exchange. The visit builds on recent high-level engagement between the countries, including phone calls between the two foreign ministers earlier this year and a visit by Norway's State Secretary in May.
