Australia's government is set to pass its NDIS bill through the Senate tonight after striking a deal with the Coalition on more than a dozen amendments. The Guardian reports the agreement includes a new opt-out register for gambling advertising that will be revenue-neutral, with the gambling industry covering the compliance costs. Treasurer Jim Chalmers voiced concerns, though, about automation similar to troubled aged care reforms potentially affecting disability assessments for up to seven hundred fifty thousand Australians.
