world
Dawn reports that the Punjab government has directed all public schools to implement the Pre-Smog Action Plan for 2026, which includes limiting outdoor activities and checking air quality before any outdoor exercise. Schools are also told to keep students masked and windows closed to reduce exposure to polluted air. In a separate move, the education department has set up committees at various levels to organize indoor sports like badminton, table tennis, and chess, with activity calendars to be released at the end of next month. The measures aim to protect students' health while keeping them active during the smog season.
