Dawn reports that Pakistan has expanded its UNESCO World Heritage tentative list from twenty-five to thirty-seven properties, adding twelve new cultural and heritage sites. The additions include ancient settlements, Buddhist complexes, historic forts, and the Kalasha Valley Cultural Landscape. The government says the move strengthens prospects for international recognition and supports tourism and cultural diplomacy. Preliminary assessment requests have already been submitted for two more sites, Ranigat and Banbhore, as future nominations.
