Too much RNA can starve cells of energy, study finds

Phys.org reports that a new study from Texas A&M's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences has found that an excess of RNA inside a cell can disrupt its energy production. The finding is described as a previously unknown consequence of viral infection.
