Australia politics live: Tim Wilson highlights national debt as gross figure tips over $1tn; Greens push for compulsory super for under-18s
world
The Australian government is facing renewed pressure over its response to Israel's decision not to pursue a criminal investigation into the killing of World Central Kitchen aid workers, including Australian Zomi Frankom, two years after her death. Greens leader Larissa Waters called the outcome outrageous, arguing that strongly worded statements aren't enough and pushing for Australia to sanction Israel and halt two-way arms trade. It remains to be seen whether Canberra will move beyond words to any concrete action.
