Warming waters draw summer 'feeding frenzies' by whales off Greenland

science

Phys.org reports that researchers have found baleen whales are taking advantage of a newly opened fish bonanza in the Greenland Sea, east of Greenland and reaching toward the Arctic Circle. Warming waters appear to be shifting the balance among species, and for these whales, that means a summer feeding ground. The researchers note that while many species lose out to climate change, a lucky few are winners.
