PM Shehbaz, President Zardari call for global action against terrorism

Dawn reports that on the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared Pakistan’s solidarity with the global fight against terrorism and vowed to keep the struggle alive until the menace is eradicated. He reminded listeners of the heavy human and economic price the country has paid, from the loss of security personnel to the suffering of civilians. President Asif Ali Zardari, in a separate message, called for unconditional international condemnation of terrorism, urged the world to cut off any support to terrorist groups, and emphasized the need for comprehensive care for victims and their families. The two leaders concluded that only coordinated global action can finally defeat terrorism and build a more peaceful future.
