Ebola outbreak in DR Congo growing 'exponentially' as death toll passes 2,500

France 24 reports that the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo is growing exponentially, with the death toll now past two thousand five hundred. The UN's senior Ebola coordinator, Julien Harneis, says more than half of those deaths have occurred in the last twenty days, calling it the fastest-spreading outbreak ever recorded. He's urging a rapid scale-up of resources to prevent the epidemic from spilling into neighboring countries.
