Ship 41 Completes Engine Testing Ahead of Flight 14

tech

According to NASASpaceflight, Ship 41, Starship’s next‑generation reusable launch vehicle, has completed both its single‑engine deorbit and six‑engine static‑fire tests at Massey’s facility. The vehicle will now roll back to Mega Bay 2 for final preps, while Booster 21 stays in Mega Bay 1 awaiting its own test. SpaceX’s internal planning link currently sets a no‑earlier‑than September 15 window for Flight 14, which is expected to be an orbital Starlink deployment. The mission’s likely outcome is a splashdown in the Pacific rather than a ship catch, according to the latest preview.
