Pakistan Army deployed in Rawalpindi for 6 months for 'sensitive security duties'

The federal government has authorized the deployment of three companies of the Pakistan Army in Rawalpindi for six months, citing sensitive security duties. The interior ministry's order, dated August twenty-first, invokes Article 245 of the Constitution, which allows armed forces to be deployed in aid of civil power.
