NIST Launches Center to Drive the Manufacture of Quantum Technologies
science
According to NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology has partnered with SRI International to establish the Quantum Manufacturing Engineering Center. The center tackles a central problem in quantum technology: most systems today exist only in research labs. QMEC will focus on the engineering and manufacturing challenges required to scale quantum systems from experimental demonstrations into reliable, producible technology. Essentially, the center bridges the gap between quantum research and commercial reality—from lab curiosity to factory floor.
