Sony is erasing digital content from customer libraries by shutting down its digital store. According to Ars Technica, customers who purchased games and digital media are discovering that their purchase was really just a license that disappears when the company closes the service. It's another reminder that we don't actually own digital products the way we own physical items—we're just renting access that companies can revoke anytime.
