Cloudflare’s own blog reports that it has migrated the Cloudflare Blog to a new content management system named EmDash, engineered to run on Astro and Cloudflare Workers. The move, completed on August twelfth, coincided with a redesign that adds dark‑mode support and a refreshed visual style. Engineers ran usability checks on publishing, scheduling and media handling, noting that early versions of EmDash lacked scheduled‑post capability. Performance tests with the k6 tool demonstrated the stack can handle traffic spikes up to seven thousand requests per second while keeping error rates below one hundredth of a percent and most responses under half a second. Running on Workers with an object cache in Workers KV and Hyperdrive integration with PlanetScale, the site now serves about ninety‑nine point five percent of static files and seventy percent of all requests from cache. A proxy worker routes traffic between the legacy and new sites to guarantee zero downtime, and the refreshed layout adds a page‑side table of contents and a "Discuss Online" pane for easier navigation and sharing.
