An oil tanker was struck by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz off the coast of Oman, France 24 reports. The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency says the vessel sustained damage but no injuries were reported. The Strait of Hormuz is a critical chokepoint for global oil shipments, making any strike there a flashpoint for regional tensions.
