Black Hat State of Security Vendors

A roundup of security vendors at the Black Hat conference suggests the industry has fully entered an AI world, per Schneier on Security. While nearly half of the booths avoided mentioning AI or agents in their taglines, the technology is leading the way for vendors in data, identity, application security, and SaaS. The report notes a market split between tools that prevent problems, those that stop adversaries, and those that simply report how bad a situation is, with the latter being frustratingly common.
