Galactic Gems Glisten in New Gallery From NASA’s Chandra

NASA Science says a new gallery of sixteen galactic images has just been unveiled, blending Chandra’s decades‑long X‑ray observations with data from the James Webb, Hubble, Swift, NuSTAR and other telescopes. The collection features spirals like NGC 1672, ellipticals such as Centaurus A, and chaotic irregulars like II Zw 096, highlighting black‑hole jets, star‑forming bursts and galaxy collisions. By merging high‑energy X‑rays with optical and infrared views, astronomers can probe the energetic processes shaping these systems.
