The Federal Aviation Administration issued a safety directive today for Boeing 787 aircraft. Five-G wireless signals can interfere with the plane's radio altimeter in Canadian airspace. When they do, landing systems may fail to engage properly, potentially requiring longer runways. The FAA is requiring airlines to update flight procedures to restrict operations that rely on the radio altimeter over Canada.
