Xtracycle's Swoop ASM e-bike brings an automatic transmission to cargo bikes

Xtracycle has released a cargo e-bike called the Swoop ASM that features an automatic transmission. As Ars Technica tells it, the four thousand five hundred dollar bike utilizes a system developed by Shimano to handle gear shifting electronically. This allows the bike to determine the optimal gear based on the rider's cadence, torque, and speed.
