European digital ID wallets are a gift to Google and Apple

According to a new analysis from WAAG, a Dutch digital rights organization, Europe's planned digital ID wallets may inadvertently benefit Google and Apple. The concern centers on how these wallet systems, while intended to empower citizens, could reinforce the market dominance of companies that already control the mobile ecosystems where such wallets would operate.
