Curiosity Reaches 1-Kilometer Elevation Gain

NASA's Curiosity rover has reached a new milestone in its fourteen year mission, achieving a total elevation gain of one kilometer. As NASA Science tells it, the rover has been climbing the slopes of Mount Sharp since twenty fourteen. To mark the occasion, the rover captured a panorama of three hundred twenty-three images looking back toward the floor of Gale Crater from a valley known as Valle Grande.
