FDA approves breakthrough pancreatic cancer drug – an oncologist explains how daraxonrasib nearly doubles survival

In a phase three trial of five hundred patients, overall survival rose from about six point seven months with standard chemotherapy to roughly thirteen point two months, cutting the risk of death by sixty percent. While more than eighty six percent of participants experienced a skin rash, fewer stopped treatment because of severe side effects, and quality of life improved. The approval now lets eligible patients access daraxonrasib and will provide real‑world data to guide future combination studies.
