A new survey of one thousand two hundred fifty U.S. workers suggests that artificial intelligence has not yet caused widespread job losses or gains. Per The Conversation, only about three percent of respondents reported losing a job due to AI since twenty twenty-three, while roughly six percent said they landed a role that didn't exist before the technology. The findings indicate that the most common impact so far has been career advancement, with nine percent of workers reporting AI-related promotions. The researcher notes that while the current impact appears limited, the rise of autonomous agentic AI could change how valuable these skills are in the future.
