Warning of fresh danger from rising lake water in Nepal – as it happened

A flash flood swept through the Tibet-Nepal border region, with witnesses describing floodwater tearing down trees and electricity poles near Gyirong port. According to The Guardian, one woman traveling from Gyirong town on Wednesday morning told local media her group had to reverse course as the water bore down on them.
