Red Fort blast case: Delhi court takes cognisance of NIA’s chargesheet

world

A Delhi court has taken cognisance of the National Investigation Agency's chargesheet over the November tenth car blast near the Red Fort metro station, which killed at least eleven people, Scroll.in reports. The chargesheet names thirteen people, including Umar Un Nabi, the doctor believed to have been driving the car that exploded and who died in the blast. Investigators allege the group behind the attack, Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, split from Kashmir's Hizbul Mujahideen and sought ties to Al Qaida. The next hearing is set for September ninth, as judicial proceedings in the case begin.
