Gilani seeks equal application of international law

Dawn reports that Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani told delegates at the second Inter‑Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference in Phnom Penh that peace cannot be selective and that international law must apply uniformly to every nation. He called for a louder Global South voice in shaping global rules and suggested the conference become a permanent institution with rapid‑response and fact‑finding capabilities. Gilani praised Cambodia’s successful hosting and said Pakistan will keep working with ISC members, noting the next gathering is slated for Indonesia.
