Australia news live: Qantas ground crews vote for right to strike amid pay dispute

The Guardian reports that the Australian government is coordinating with Russian officials to try to secure the release of Australian citizen Oscar Jenkins, according to assistant foreign affairs minister Matt Thistlethwaite. He told ABC News Breakfast that officials are negotiating but would not say whether a prisoner swap is being considered, adding that they will work with their Russian counterparts to try to bring him home safely.
