US renews attack on Iran while threatening financial sanctions on Tehran allies

Hostilities between the US and Iran have flared again after a month's lull. France 24 reports the US accused Iran of preparing to launch sea mines into the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran responded by striking US military bases in Jordan. The US Treasury Secretary also warned that fresh economic sanctions are coming for banks that do business with Iran.
