Four 'Little Red Dot' pairs hint at black hole mergers in early universe

Researchers have identified several massive black holes from roughly twelve point five to twelve point eight billion years ago that were growing rapidly by consuming surrounding matter. Per Phys.org, some of these black holes appeared to be on a path toward merging. The discovery was made after an international team analyzed infrared images from the James Webb Space Telescope.
