Two dead and at least 15 missing after flash flood in Grand Canyon

A second death has been confirmed after a flash flood tore through the Grand Canyon over the weekend, sending a surge of water and debris across trails and infrastructure, The Guardian reports. Fifteen people remain missing or unaccounted for, and dozens of visitors had to be airlifted out by helicopter during the deluge. The National Park Service warns that more heavy rain and thunderstorms in the forecast could bring additional flash floods, debris flows, or rock falls to the area.
