Robot Dragon – Articulated Puzzle Assembly #3DPrinting #3DThursday
tech
According to Adafruit, designer Filionix3D has created a fully articulated robot dragon—a mechanical creature built from three-D-printed parts and assembled bolt-by-bolt. What sets it apart: every single joint moves. You don't just print it; you pose it. The designer recommends printing at zero point one six or zero point one two millimeter resolution for the best mechanical fit. Filionix3D has also designed a robot spider called Arachna, suggesting these articulated creatures are only the beginning. The files are available free on Maker World. It's a refreshing departure from static prints—a desktop project where your creation actually does what you want it to.
