Security guard rescued from building basement eight days after Venezuela earthquakes

According to France 24, an international rescue team pulled a forty-three-year-old security guard from a collapsed shopping centre in Venezuela's La Guaira eight days after earthquakes devastated the coastal region. Rescuers made contact with Hernán Alberto Gil Flores and carefully passed him water and liquid nutrients through a narrow shaft before executing the complex extraction.
