FBI Seizes NetNut Proxy Platform, Popa Botnet

The FBI has seized hundreds of domains associated with NetNut, a residential proxy service run by the Israeli company Alarum Technologies. The seizure followed investigations that connected NetNut to the Popa botnet—a network of at least two million compromised devices infected with malware, often without users' consent. According to Krebs on Security, the takedown represents a significant strike against the proxy-for-hire infrastructure that criminal networks depend on.
