Chinese firm UBTech sells hyper-real, 'always loyal' humanoid robots

According to Channel NewsAsia, Chinese robotics company UBTech is selling a humanoid robot called the U1, positioned as a companion to help combat loneliness. The lifelike android can hold conversations and can be customized to resemble loved ones or celebrities. UBTech is targeting single people and adults over sixty.
