Man charged with manslaughter over Tesla crash originally blamed on car’s self-driving mode

According to The Guardian, Michael Butler has been arrested and charged with manslaughter following a Tesla crash that killed 76-year-old Martha Avila in June. The vehicle crashed into her home near Houston. The accident was initially attributed to the car's self-driving mode, but Tesla claims Butler had disabled the feature before impact. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced the arrest this week.
