‘The situation is terrible’: aid workers on life in Sudanese city pummelled by drone strikes

El Obeid, a besieged city in Sudan caught between the armed forces and the RSF militia, is enduring escalating drone attacks. The Guardian reports this past weekend brought the most violent strikes yet, with drones targeting schools and fuel stations, killing more than twenty people, including students. An aid worker there says forty to forty-five drones is now a normal daily occurrence. The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate.
