The storm is forecast to bring maximum sustained winds of two hundred eighty kilometres per hour, with gusts potentially reaching three hundred thirty-three kilometres per hour — equivalent to a category-five hurricane. Residents are already experiencing howling winds and heavy rain as preparation efforts intensify across the US Pacific territories.
