Russia launches deadly attacks on Kyiv on eve of Nato summit

According to The Guardian World, Russian missiles and drones struck Kyiv early Monday, killing at least nine people and heavily damaging apartment blocks and other buildings. Officials say forty-six people were wounded, including five children. Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv region's military administration, cautioned that the toll is not final, with rescue operations still ongoing. It was the second major assault on the Ukrainian capital and its surrounds in less than a week, and comes on the eve of a NATO summit.
