France to Stop Certifying Non-Quantum-Safe Encryption

France is accelerating its shift to quantum-resistant encryption. According to Schneier on Security, France's cybersecurity agency ANSSI announced it will stop certifying security products that lack quantum-safe encryption starting in twenty twenty-seven. Since ANSSI approval is required for French government agencies and critical infrastructure, this effectively forces operators to phase out older encryption systems. Businesses should be purchasing only quantum-safe products by twenty thirty, according to ANSSI's chief of staff.
