The Boston Globe doth return its web-site to yesteryear in celebration of American independence

tech

According to Nieman Lab, The Boston Globe redesigned its website this past Independence Day to celebrate the Semiquincentennial—marking two hundred fifty years of American independence. The special version featured historical-era styling meant to evoke July fourth, seventeen seventy-six. It's a delightfully anachronistic gesture: the outlet imagined how its homepage might have appeared two hundred fifty years ago, when neither the internet nor newspapers even existed.
