NEW GUIDE: CircuitPython Chiptune Player #AdafruitLearningSystem @Adafruit
tech
Adafruit has released a new guide for building a tiny chiptune music player with CircuitPython. The project uses a Feather RP2350 microcontroller, paired with an I2S DAC and TFT display, to create a pocket-sized arcade cabinet that plays retro eight-bit music. The code leverages CircuitPython's synthio module to emulate the AY-3-8910 sound generator, the three-voice chip that powered classic arcade games and home computers in the nineteen eighties. Perfect for makers who want to bring some retro beeps and boops to their projects.
