Australia news live: Telstra warns of ‘secondary issue’ after yesterday’s network outage; trains in regional Victoria cancelled again
tech
According to The Guardian, Telstra is warning of a secondary issue lingering from yesterday's national mobile outage, with the carrier saying some customers still can't reach triple zero — Australia's emergency line — on its network. The disruption is rippling into public transport: commuters in New South Wales have been told to expect flow-on impacts on Sydney Trains and regional TrainLink services, while Victorians have been urged to avoid V/Line trains, now cut back to a very limited coach service. Metro rail in both Sydney and Melbourne is running normally.
