Ukrainian spy accused of killing Monaco bombing suspect retracts confession

According to France 24, a Ukrainian military intelligence officer who had confessed to killing a woman suspected of carrying out a failed hit on a sanctioned oligarch in Monaco has now withdrawn that confession. Ukrainian media reported Friday, citing court proceedings, that the officer instead pinned the blame on his co-defendant, a former law enforcement officer. Both men have been remanded in custody.
