Spain wildfires: Deadliest blaze in 20 years
world
According to France 24, Spain is battling its deadliest wildfire in two decades. At least twelve people have died and twenty-three remain missing after the blaze tore through the southern region of Almeria. Authorities say the fire may have started when a power line fell onto dry vegetation. As Europe faces an early and intense fire season, Spain now accounts for around forty percent of all the land burned across the continent, and firefighters are still working to contain the flames.
