Fast-spreading wildfire kills at least 12 in southern Spain

According to The Guardian, one of Spain's deadliest wildfires has killed at least twelve people in the south-eastern province of Almería, with twenty-three others still unaccounted for. The regional government of Andalucía says the victims died while trying to flee the flames near the village of Bédar, in the municipality of Los Gallardos. Four of those killed are believed to be British. The fire broke out as Spain endures its second heatwave of the summer.
