Meta ditches Muse Image AI feature because it ‘misses the mark’ on users’ privacy

This week Meta launched Muse, an Instagram feature that let users generate images using public account content, The Guardian reports. But the tool immediately drew criticism over privacy concerns—including from Hollywood unions—forcing Meta to discontinue it. Meta acknowledged the feature 'missed the mark' on protecting users' privacy, despite intending to give people control over their content.
