At least 27 killed in fire at Bangkok pub with another 22 critically injured

At least twenty-seven people have died in a fire at a popular pub in Bangkok, Thailand's capital, with another twenty-two left in critical condition, The Guardian reports. Officials described it as one of the deadliest such incidents in the tourist hub in recent years. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who visited the site early Monday, said that based on survivor accounts, the venue rapidly filled with smoke after the fire broke out, forcing many people to run toward the back near the bathrooms.
