France: Wildfires tear though historic forest of Fontainebleau near Paris

France 24 reports that wildfires are tearing through the historic forest of Fontainebleau, near Paris, where hundreds of firefighters are battling to contain the flames. According to France 24, some two thousand hectares have already burned, forcing the evacuation of around one thousand people. Two people have been arrested on suspicion of deliberately starting the blaze. Fontainebleau is one of France's most famous forests, a former royal hunting ground that draws visitors from around the world.
