Sheetz, the convenience store chain, is migrating its eight hundred thirty-eight locations off VMware. Per Ars Technica, the company is moving roughly eleven thousand virtual machines from Broadcom's vSphere platform to StorMagic's SvHCI, citing the vendor's uncertainty about the platform's future. More than six hundred stores have been migrated so far at a pace of about two hundred per month. Sheetz expects to finish the full migration in approximately four months.
