A woman in Singapore has been jailed for running a fraudulent scheme targeting foreigners seeking permanent resident status, Channel NewsAsia reports. One victim, a Chinese national, paid three hundred sixty thousand Singapore dollars—roughly two hundred seventy-nine thousand US dollars—for what was presented as a legitimate job investment arrangement. The entire scheme was a sham.
